Who is BRETT HUMMEL?

Brett hails from New York City. As the son of two Wall Street bankers, Brett saw his career path unwinding in that same vein… earning a degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. Yet, something seemed missing. It puzzled him that he did not receive the same pleasure his parents did from analyzing Cash Flow reports and 10 K’s. During school, his parents encouraged him to seek new directions which led him to engage in a variety of jobs as a student, all the while trying to break free of the family mold.

At Notre Dame, Brett arranged a meeting with the Vice President of Finance, who was coordinating a new $200 million joint commercial and residential district between Notre Dame and the city of South Bend. He expressed there was no student voice in the project though students would be a majority of their customer base. After identifying this need, the Vice President selected Brett to organize a team of faculty and students to develop a campus-wide market survey. Upon completion of the survey and analyzing the results with which 1/3 of the student body responded, Brett made a formal presentation to the real estate development board. The success of this collaborative effort between institution, commercial interests, and Brett’s initiative is apparent in Notre Dame’s announcement that the “College Town Program” will have its ribbon cutting ceremony in 2009. It will include over 90% of Brett’s recommendations.

Brett held internships with Dr. Arthur Laffer, the economist who invented Supply Side Economics, and the Club For Growth, which was the largest private Political Action Committee (PAC). At the Club For Growth, prior to the advent of Facebook and MySpace, Brett created a program networking 18-25 year olds whom potential candidates could install to help build a party’s base to aid with their election.

After graduation, he turned his attention to an idea that germinated in his senior year. Brett realized young professionals felt extremely disconnected from their peers, employers, and community, resulting in increased turnover and job dissatisfaction among America’s corporations. ProMazo was born to become the corporate solution. Promazo is the talent management system for young professionals which can combat this increasing problem.
